Brahmagiri Development Society played the leadership role in achieving the required priorities in special schemes like R.S.V.Y, R.K.V.Y with the help of Dist. Panchayath and line Departments,and succeeded in achieving the required priorities in implementation of various schemes in the Animal Husbandry and Diary development department.The society could involve in the formulation of various projects and in getting them sactioned .In this instance the formation of Cold Chain, Dairy Net like projects and the milk production factory of sulthan Bathery milk society and a cattle feed Pellet manufacturing factory set up by Ambalavayal by milk societies are of special mention, which can be model at the National level. In the village sector 20 Chilling Plants have been set up for chilling 1,35,000 litre of milk per day. Computerization has been completed in all the milk societies in Wayanad and it is the first one to do so in the State. In addition to this Brahmagiri Development Society extend hands in setting up small scale dairy farm under NABARD’s Venture Capital fund in villages with the help of D.M.I.
