The cultivation of fodder for dairy farmers plays a vital role in minimizing the milk production cost and also in increasing milk production. High yielding Hybrid fodder grass items like Super Napier, Red Napier, Co3, Co4, Co5 and Sony Grass (Thumburmuzhy) are being distributed through Brahmagiri Development Society.
BDS pioneered in propagating hybrid fodder cultivation through the various schemes of Dairy Development Department and Local self Govt. Departments across the district.
